Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Saturday appointed Adv Showkat Mir as Kashmir’s Provincial President, superseding Nasir Aslam Wani, who was recently appointed as Advisor to CM Omar Abdullah.
Also, the party elevated Dr. Sajad Shafi Uri to the position of North Zone President while Adv Shahid Ali Shah has been nominated as the District President Baramulla.
The order in this regard was today signed by party general Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar following the approval from Party President Dr Farooq Abdullah.
The Party President Dr Farooq Abdullah extended congratulations to the trio for taking on these new roles, expressing confidence that the party will greatly benefit from their extensive experience in public life.
