Srinagar: A 23-year-old youth died and two others sustained injuries after their motorcycle met with an accident in the DH Pora area of Kulgam, sources said.
Quoting police sources, NVI reported that three young boys riding a motorcycle (JK22C-8572) skidded off the road at Nagam while returning from Ziyarat Chimmer to Shopian.
One of the riders, identified as Sameer Mubarak Rather, son of Mubarak Ahmed Rather, a resident of Zaipora Dramarth, died at the spot, while the other two — Munib Shafi Mir, son of Mohammad Shafi Mir, and Gowhar Gulzar Rather, son of Gulzar Ahmed Rather, both residents of Zaipora Dramath — were injured; they were shifted to District Hospital Kulgam for treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
