Gulmarg: In a bid to enhance the beauty and hygiene of the world-renowned tourist destination, MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah today inaugurated a week-long cleanliness drive in Gulmarg.

The initiative aims to preserve the natural splendor of the area while ensuring it remains an attractive destination for both local and international visitors.

Speaking at the launch event, Shah underscored the vital role cleanliness plays in promoting a positive image of Gulmarg. He called on the relevant departments to fully participate in the initiative and implement sustainable measures to keep the area clean throughout the year.

In a message to the local community and stakeholders, Shah emphasized the collective responsibility of maintaining the environment. “Keeping Gulmarg clean is not just the job of the administration; it is a duty we all share. I urge everyone to actively engage in this drive and adopt practices that contribute to a cleaner, greener Gulmarg,” Shah said.

During the event, Shah also interacted with a number of tourists, many of whom expressed their appreciation for the initiative. Visitors commended the efforts to preserve the area’s pristine beauty, noting how essential such steps are to maintaining Gulmarg’s status as a top-tier tourist destination.
