Srinagar: Police in Sopore have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Monday.
He said at Adipora Crossing, police apprehended Junaid Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan Mir, and Riyaz Ahmad Parra, son of Mohammad Maqbool Parra, both residents of Adipora Sopore. During their search, seven grams of heroin was recovered from their possession.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation has been initiated, police said.
