During the course of the meeting, threadbare discussion was held with regard to the terms and conditions as laid in the MoU between Army and the Civil Administration with regard to the evacuation of land at Lower Kurbathang Plateau and issuance of NOCs in terms of land patches to be occupied by the Army in Kargil district.

It was decided in the meeting that as an immediate measure, the LAHDC and the Army authorities will in near future affect an agreement for the exchange of certain portions of land at Lower Kurbathang Plateau and Upper Plateau Maratha Ground.

The CEC directed the concerned to work out the modalities for finalizing the exchange of land by involving officers from both sides so that optimal utilization of the land patches is being made at the earliest.
