CBC organises outreach prog on Mission LiFE at Hanu, Leh

Hanu Yokma (Leh): The Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, through its field offices in Anantnag and Leh, today organised a day-long Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme at Government High School, Hanu Yokma, Leh district.

The event focused on creating awareness about Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Poshan Abhiyaan (National Nutrition Mission), and Swachhta Hi Seva campaigns of the Central Government.

Resource persons from various government departments discussed key issues, including sustainable development, eradicating malnutrition, and adopting a clean and healthy lifestyle for a better future.

Field Publicity Officer, CBC Anantnag, Mr. Shahid Mohammad Lone, emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle for sustainable development. He urged participants to adopt practices that contribute to environmental conservation and personal well-being.

Naseer Ahmad Rather, Field Publicity Officer, CBC Srinagar highlighted the focus of CBC on ground-level outreach, especially in remote areas, to raise awareness about various government initiatives. He said that similar outreach programmes were conducted across the Union Territory of Ladakh over the past two weeks, with the next event scheduled for Kargil from October 8 to 10, 2024.

An open quiz competition on the programme themes was held for participants, with winners receiving mementoes and certificates.
