Srinagar: Police in Sopore have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Thursday.
He said while patrolling at Nowpora Byepass Road in Sopore, a police party apprehended two persons and recovered 540 banned tablets (Alprazolam) from their possession, police said without disclosing the identities of the arrested duo.
It said a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore for investigation.
