Bandipora: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief, Tariq Hameed Karra, addressed a gathering in Bandipora today, criticizing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for their unfulfilled promises of transformation in Jammu and Kashmir.

“The claims of transformation aren’t entirely wrong, but those in power are presenting a distorted version of reality. The true transformation is taking place in the hearts and minds of the people of J&K,” Karra stated.

He emphasized that the people of J&K have learned from their past mistakes and are now making informed decisions, as seen in the first two phases of elections. He also pointed out that those who secretly collaborated with the BJP, keeping the public in the dark, are being rejected by the people.

“The betrayal experienced in the past has made Kashmiris more pragmatic, and they now realize that their secure future lies with the Alliance,” Karra highlighted.

Karra further noted, “The Congress Party has been fighting across India against divisive forces. Secular political parties have decided to join hands with the INC to form an alliance in order to protect the Idea of India.”

Reiterating the Congress Party’s commitment to J&K’s development, Karra added, “We are dedicated to ensuring overall development in every sector of the Union Territory of J&K.”
