Kashmir Knights beat PCC Pattan By 7 Wickets

Chanderhama : The 15th edition 2018 of the SNW Chanderhama kicked off with a glitzy opening ceremony at SNW memorial stadium Chanderhama tehsil Pattan on Sunday here.

A colorful opening ceremony was held at SNW memorial Stadium Chanderhama Pattan, meanwhile spectators applauded the inaugural ceremony .

Nisar Ahmad Khanday ex-Ranji trophy player also attended the occasion. This year the SNW 15th edition will see more star players during the tournament at SNW memorial Stadium Chanderhama Pattan.

The inaugural match was played between PCC Pattan and Kashmir Knights. PCC Pattan disappointed after winning the toss and batting first at SNW memorial Stadium Chanderhama Pattan. PCC Pattan were loosing wickets consistently.

At one stage PCC Pattan collapsed to 42/5 and thus finishing their innings at a low score of 120 runs in 18.3 overs. Irfan was the highest scorer with 36 runs while Firdous Malik added 22 runs.

Adil Khan and Rafiq Baba were the star performers with ball, Adil Khan Scalped 4 wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs while Rafiq Baba took 3 wickets for 19 runs in 3.3 overs.

In reply, the Lateef Dar-led Kashmir Knights successfully chased down the total of 121 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 17 overs. Lateef Dar played splendid knock of 39 runs off 32 balls followed by Hyder Ali with unbeaten 32 runs, while Mushtaq Ahmad added 29 runs. Adil Khan was adjudged as player of the match and Lateef Dar was awarded with the best moment of the match for his splendid innings of 39 runs off 32 balls with 8 boundaries.

The tournament is sponsored by Bio-Care Imaging and Diagnostic Centre Kreeri and IPRO Education Services Baramulla.
