Srinagar: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has heralded a new democratic era for Kashmir and urged the people to maintain their trust in the recent electoral gains and continued leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing an enthusiastic gathering in Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar, Dr. Singh highlighted a significant increase in voter turnout in recent elections, breaking the long-standing trend of low participation and political alienation in the region.

According to Dr. Singh, this surge is a clear indication that the public has renewed its faith in the democratic process and endorsed the BJP’s reforms.

He criticized the previous “self-rule” model, which he claimed failed to deliver genuine self-government and effective governance. He argued that this model perpetuated a cycle of inefficient leadership, leading to stagnation in the political process.

“The BJP leadership has brought a breath of fresh air to Kashmir’s political landscape, ensuring more accurate representation,” Dr. Singh said. “The days of outdated, disconnected leadership are over. Today, democracy in Kashmir is thriving, thanks to the BJP’s efforts to restore genuine democratic engagement and good governance.”

The Minister praised the recent high voter turnout, including robust participation in the Lok Sabha elections, as evidence of Kashmiris’ commitment to democratic values and progress.

He urged the electorate to continue supporting the BJP, which he asserted has been leading the region toward stability and growth. Dr. Singh also referenced past grievances, criticizing the poorly implemented promise of self-rule, which he said was used to justify political failures and avoid genuine democratic participation.

He emphasized that the BJP’s approach represents a necessary and effective transition from such failed policies, underscoring the need for a governance system that truly reflects the aspirations of the people. “This is a moment of destiny for our future,” Dr. Singh insisted.

“This is a golden opportunity to secure a stable and progressive government, not only for the present generation but for generations to come. The BJP-led leadership has placed us on a path of rapid development and international recognition, which must be sustained at all costs.”

The audience’s enthusiastic response to Dr. Singh’s address was a testament to the widespread support for the BJP’s vision for Kashmir.

He concluded with a call to action, encouraging people to remain active and engaged in the political process to ensure continuous progress and stability in the region. With the election season approaching, Dr. Singh’s remarks highlight the BJP’s efforts to strengthen its political position in Kashmir.

This focus on addressing local issues alongside national progress is likely to be a key theme in upcoming election campaigns.
