SRINAGAR: Residents of Bhat Lane, located just before Mushtaq Colony in the Hyderpora area of Srinagar, have appealed to the concerned authorities for the urgent macadamization of the lanes in their locality.
Locals reported that Bhat Lane 1 has not been macadamized for nearly ten years, causing significant problems for the residents.
“Walking on this lane, especially at night, has become a major inconvenience and poses a serious threat to our safety,” said Wamiq Ahmad, a local resident.
He added, “It becomes extremely difficult for us to leave our homes whenever it rains, as the lane fills with mud and silt due to water accumulation.”
When contacted, an official from SMC Srinagar stated, “We have taken the matter into consideration and will look into it, with the aim of resolving the issue as soon as possible.”
