He also expressed his opposition to traditional politics, raising concerns about the rise of drug addiction among the Kashmiri youth, “Who brought drugs to Kashmir? Who gave them licenses to run drug shops?” he questioned.

Responding to a question about Mehbooba Mufti’s decision not to contest the elections, citing concerns about the limited powers of MLAs, Dr. Suhail Said that the erosion of Jammu and Kashmir’s powers was due to regional parties who failed to safeguard the future of youth. He asserted that Kashmiri youth are now aware and prepared to address these issues.

Dr. Bhat also mentioned that their focus would be on creating employment opportunities for Kashmiri youth.

He concluded by saying that we are not promising the restoration of Article 370 or 35A but we would play a crucial role in restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
