DEO Baramulla inspects polling stations in Rafiabad AC

BARAMULLA: In preparation for the upcoming assembly elections, the District Election Officer (DEO) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, accompanied by Returning Officer (RO) 08-Rafiabad Assembly Constituency (AC), Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, today conducted a thorough inspection of several designated polling stations in Rafiabad AC here.

The inspection focused on ensuring that all polling stations are equipped with Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF), which are crucial for a smooth and accessible voting experience.

These facilities include clear signage, clean drinking water, functional toilets, ramps for persons with disabilities, adequate lighting, and comfortable seating arrangements. The objective is to ensure that every voter will have a dignified and hassle-free experience on election day.

The DEO emphasized the significance of these preparations and stated that it has been a top priority of the district administration, especially the district election office, to ensure that all polling stations are fully prepared to provide a seamless voting process and uphold the highest standards of electoral readiness.

RO 08-Rafiabad AC, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, assured that at RO level, administration has made all the necessary preparations and any remaining issues that have been identified would be promptly addressed to and ensure all required facilities are in place well before election day.

The District Election Office Baramulla remains dedicated to ensuring that all aspects of the electoral process are conducted efficiently, transparently, and in a manner that protects the democratic rights of every citizen.
