Srinagar: An elderly man was killed after being hit by a vehicle in the Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
A police official told Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that the accident occurred in Barsoo, Awantipora, when a private vehicle bearing registration number GJ21CE/0167 struck an elderly man, causing severe injuries.
The injured man was immediately transported to a nearby hospital and later referred to SKIMS Soura, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Mohd Rajab Wani, son of Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Goripora, Awantipora.
Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident. (KNO)
