Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Monday.
He said in Baramulla, at Noorkhah Crossing, one Danish Javid, son of Javid Ahmad of Jabdar Bijhama, was arrested after 30 grams of contraband cannabis-like substance was recovered from his possession.
In Kulgam, at Tehsil crossing 800 grams of cannabis-like contraband substance was recovered from the possession of Nisar Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Salam Mir of Mohanpora, Kulgam. Mir was arrested.
Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations for investigation, police said.
