Srinagar: Police in Budgam have solved a theft case by arresting an accused person. Stolen property has also been recovered from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Friday.
He said acting on a complaint of theft at a shop in Checksara Khansahib, police, after registering a case, rounded up many suspects. During questioning, one person identified as Farooq Ahmed Ganie alias Dil Jaley, son of Ghulam Ahmad Ganaie of Katchpuran, admitted his involvement in the crime. On his disclosure, stolen items, including cash were recovered from his possession. Subsequently, he has been arrested and shifted to the police station while further investigation is going on, police said.
