Srinagar: One person died and three others, including a woman and her two minor children, suffered burn injuries after a gas cylinder caught fire at their home in Doda district, officials said today.

Giving details, an official said that a gas cylinder caught fire due to leakage in the Sinoo Bhalesa area last night.

In the incident, four persons suffered injuries, said the official, adding that the injured were moved to a hospital for treatment where one person, identified as Mohammad Adnan, succumbed.

The injured include a woman, identified as Rubiya, and her two children. They were moved to GMC Doda for treatment, said the official.

Given the critical nature of injuries to the woman and one of her children, the duo was referred to Kashmir for specialized treatment, added the official.
