Since its launch on November 1st, 2023, the Smart e-Bus service has emerged as a beacon of innovation and progress, revolutionizing the way commuters travel within and beyond the city. The overwhelming response from over 800,000 passengers in just nine months underscores the popularity and effectiveness of futuristic modes of transport.

SSCL takes immense pride in offering unparalleled comfort, reliability, and connectivity through the Smart e-Buses, which operate seamlessly from 6 am to 1:15 am. With cutting-edge heating and air conditioning technology, passengers enjoy a comfortable journey regardless of the season, setting a new standard for public transportation in the Srinagar and inter-districts.

Furthermore, the Smart e-Buses cover 15 designated routes, including inter-district services to key areas like Ganderbal and Budgam, ensuring comprehensive connectivity for citizens round the clock. The decision to extend operational hours beyond 9 pm showcases SSCL’s unwavering commitment to serve the city and to enhance mobility for residents and tourists alike.

SSCL remains dedicated to sustainability and efficiency, as evidenced by the innovative charging system at the Pantha-Chowk depot, supporting all e-Buses currently in operation. Plans to introduce Opportunity Charging facilities at strategic locations further underscore our proactive approach to expand the e-Bus network and minimizing operational disruptions.

SSCL reaffirms its steadfast commitment to revolutionize public transportation and looks forward to continued support from the passengers as we strive for a more sustainable and connected future.
