Srinagar: Police have attached properties worth crores of a “notorious” drug peddler in Qazigund, Kulgam.
The property includes a double-storied residential house and a residential cum commercial house measuring 3457 Sq. Ft, valued at Rs 3 crores, belonging to a drug peddler namely Abdul Rashid Rather, alias Mathur, son of Ghulam Hassan Rather, resident of Bonigam Qazigund, Kulgam, was attached under section 68-F(2) of NDPS Act 1985.
The properties were “identified as illegally acquired property during investigation by police and were prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic drug and psychotropic substances by the owner, who is presently detained under PIT NDPS Act and lodged at Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu,” police said.
