Dr Farooq, Omar lead party in offering tributes to Shuhada-e-Kashmir

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Friday paid heartfelt tributes to the 22 valiant martyrs of 13th July, 1931, on their 93rd Martyrdom anniversary.

In their message, the duo emphasized that the courage and selfless sacrifices of the martyrs were unparalleled. They declared that 13th July 1931 was a pivotal moment in Kashmir’s history, marking the beginning of a relentless struggle against tyranny, oppression, and despotism.

In a passionate message, National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah stated that the sacrifices of the brave martyrs were timeless and continue to ignite the flames of justice, truth, and peace in the hearts of millions.

“The unquenchable thirst for dignity cannot be extinguished by injustice, and the 13th July Martyrs demonstrated that non-violence and perseverance always triumph over oppression and tyranny in the end. I offer my humble tributes to the martyrs and urge the people, especially our youth, to educate themselves about the history of our struggle against oppression and tyranny,” he said.

In his fervent message on this significant occasion, National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah emphasized that the sacrifices made by the martyrs of 13th July will forever serve as a guiding light in humanity’s ongoing struggle for dignity and justice.

He expressed his deep respect for the courageous martyrs who gave their lives in the fight against oppression and tyranny, paving the way for a movement that changed the course of history and inspired countless Kashmiris to stand united against injustice.

Omar declared that 13th July will always be a day for the people of Kashmir to reaffirm their commitment to combating evil with compassion, non-violence, and peace.
