June 19: Police today refuted reports about stone-pelting on some pilgrim buses moving towards Kheerbhawani Mela.
“The news being circulated on social media by some rumor mongers regarding pelting of stones on some pilgrim buses is strongly refuted and rebutted,” police said.
SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone also requested general public not to pay heed to such rumors.
“The news being circulated is totally baseless and concocted. The pilgrims have arrived safely and have been accommodated suitably. Necessary security arrangements are in place en-route as well inside the temple,” he said.
