DDC Chairperson B’la inspects ongoing development projects

BARAMULLA: Chairperson of District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safeena Baig, Saturday conducted a thorough inspection of various ongoing development projects across the district.

Safeena Baig was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Syed Qamar Sajad, and other senior officers and Engineers.

The inspection aimed to assess the progress and quality of construction projects currently underway in Baramulla.

Safeena Baig emphasized the importance of timely completion and adherence to quality standards in all developmental initiatives.

The key projects inspected included 100-bedded hostel at Polytechnic College Kanispora, Municipal Council Office building at Baramulla, ongoing works of Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla, Water Supply Scheme Kanispora and Delina besides various other infrastructure and public amenity projects.

These projects are vital for the enhancement of educational, healthcare, and municipal services in the district, reflecting the administration’s commitment to comprehensive development.

During the inspection, DDC chairperson interacted with project engineers and contractors to review project timelines, infrastructure specifications, and address any challenges encountered during implementation.

Chairperson directed Executing agencies to ensure efficient execution and timely completion of developmental projects for the benefit of the local communities.

Safeena Baig expressed satisfaction with the progress of the projects and reiterated the need to maintain high standards of quality and safety. She highlighted the impact these projects would have on improving the living standards of the residents and the overall development of the district.

ADDC Syed Qamar Sajad urged the officers and contractors to work diligently and efficiently. He stressed the importance of these projects in providing essential services to the public and enhancing the infrastructure of the district.

The projects inspected spanned key sectors including infrastructure, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and public amenities, reflecting the broad scope of development initiatives underway in District Baramulla.

The administration’s proactive approach aims to expedite the completion of these projects to ensure they are delivered on time and meet the needs of the community.
