ICSC celebrates International Yoga Day

Srinagar: Islamia College Srinagar on Friday celebrated International Yoga Day bringing together students, staff and yoga enthusiasts for a day dedicated to wellness, mindfulness, and unity.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation. The celebration commenced early hours with an inspiring address by NSS officers, ANO, NCC officers Senior Professors who emphasized the significance of yoga in promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Following the inaugural address, certified yoga instructors led participants through a series of yoga sessions, including traditional asanas, pranayama and meditation practices.

The event concluded with a collective meditation session, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

Prof.Nusrat, Prof. Handed and Prof. Rafeeq said that the goal for today’s program was to inspire a healthier lifestyle and encourage the practice of yoga as a means to achieve balance and harmony. “We remain committed to promoting health and wellness through such initiatives and look forward to more events in the future.”
