Senior photojournalist Nissar Ahmad is no more

Srinagar: Senior Kashmiri photojournalist Nissar Ahmad passed away on Wednesday after a long illness.

As per family sources, Ahmad breathed his last today at SMHS Hospital where he was admitted yesterday morning after his health deteriorated.

Ahmad had been working with Hindu newspaper for the past two decades.

His funeral was held at Khalid Bin Waleed colony in the Natipora locality of Srinagar in the afternoon.

Hundreds of people including his professional colleagues offered his Jinazah, local journalists said.

Known as a very gentle, down-to-earth and honest photojournalist, Nissar was loved by all his contemporaries.

All the political parties including JKNC, JKPC, JKPDP, Congress have condoled the demise and extended sympathies to the family of the bereaved.

‘Kashmir Images’ condoles his demise and prays for ‘Magfirah’ to the departed soul.
