Srinagar: Police in Kulgam have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Sunday.
He said at Khudwani Bypass Crossing, police intercepted and later arrested one Ishfaq Ahmad Nengroo, son of Nazir Ahmad Nengroo of Badroo Yaripora, after five grams of brown sugar and two Kgs of poppy were recovered from his possession.
A case has been registered in this regard for further investigation.
