Srinagar: A minor boy who was on a picnic with school drowned to death in a stream at Mavar Gadole in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
An official said that an eight-year-old class 1st student Rehan Ahmad Awan, son of Bilal Ahmad Awan of Chree Punzgam Kokernag, drowned to death in Nallah Mavar Gadole. He was on a picnic with school when the incident happened.
His dead body had been fished out while police have taken cognizance and started an investigation, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported.
