Srinagar: A 4-year-old boy was killed by a leopard in Zamboora Pattan area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
An official said that a leopard attacked a minor boy identified as Junaid Ahmed Qureshi, son of Zameer Ahmad Qureshi near his house this afternoon, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported.
“The minor boy was dragged away by the leopard to nearby bushes,” the official said, adding “soon after police and army launched a rescue operation and after almost two hours of searches found the boy with injuries.”
“The boy was taken to SDH Uri, where he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors,” added the official.
