ADDC Bandipora reviews functioning of RDD

BANDIPORA: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt, who is also holding charge of Assistant Commissioner Development, today reviewed the functioning of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department in a meeting held at Mini Secretariat Bandipora.

The meeting was aimed at assessing the progress of ongoing projects, addressing operational challenges, and ensuring the effective implementation of rural development initiatives.

During the meeting, the ADDC took a detailed review of various parameters of the RDD sector including the payment Monitoring system, the status of material expenditure besides status of various works.

The chair was apprised that in the financial year 2023-24, 1163 works were completed out of 3693 works and for the financial year 2024-25, 08 works stand completed out of 24 works.

On the occasion, the BDOs apprised the chair regarding various issues regarding the execution of works.

Emphasizing on upholding integrity and accountability, the ADDC asked the concerned to proceed with guidelines and remove bottlenecks, if any for the timely completion of all works.

He stressed on proper monitoring of the e-office to ensure that everything runs smoothly in official works besides also stressed that BDOs to provide technical knowledge and support to subordinate staff to make them tech-savvy.

Bhat also emphasised the necessity of timely project completion and adherence to quality standards.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Block Development Officers, Executive Engineer REW, Bandipora, AEEs and others concerned.
