Srinagar: A woman drowned to death in Vailoo Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.
An official said that a woman named Shahnaza Begum (40), wife of Showkat Ahmad Phatan of Pindubal Vailoo drowned in Brengi Nallah at Pindubal Vailoo, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported.
It said she was brought to SDH Kokernag where doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation.
