The purpose of the meeting was to apprise the Lieutenant Governor of the aims and objectives behind the launch of the digital news channel.

During the meeting, Lieutenant Governor Sinha commended Parvinder Singh for his transition from the financial sector to journalism, acknowledging the challenges associated with the field. Singh outlined the vision behind the news channel, emphasizing its commitment to delivering unbiased news and fostering informed public discourse.

A key highlight of the discussion was the invitation extended to Lieutenant Governor Sinha to bless the channel’s launch. However, the acceptance of the invitation remains contingent upon clearance from the Election Commission of India, considering the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct.

Beyond the channel’s launch, the meeting delved into pressing societal issues, notably the involvement of youth in drug trafficking and the tragic loss of young lives due to drug consumption. Lieutenant Governor Sinha emphasized the urgency of a concerted effort to raise awareness among youth, involving civil society and community leaders.

In response, Parvinder Singh pledged full support for initiatives aimed at eradicating the menace of drug abuse. He assured coordination and collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, recognizing their ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes.
