KUPWARA: In preparation for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024, a training program was today organized for Supervisors/BLOs of all the polling stations of Tehsil Zachaldara and Drugmulla at Town Hall Handwara.

The training was imparted by District Level Master Trainer, Syed Saqib Geelani. He provided full guidance to the participants on various facets of the electoral process and operations of EVM/ VVPAT.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of active participation and adherence to the guidelines outlined by the Election Commission of India to ensure smooth and transparent conduct of the elections.

Addressing the trainees, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara, Aziz Ahmad Rather who is also Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) Handwara-5, stressed upon the concerned to ensure Assured Minimum Facilities at every polling station, PWD voters flagging, Migrant Voters registration and strategy for their voting, provisions for absentees voters etc.

Among others, Tehsildars of Zachaldara and Drugmulla also attended the training programme.
