Srinagar, Jun 11: Vigilance Organization Kashmir has registered a corruption case against Naib Tehsildar Sangam, Eidgah, Srinagar.
The case has been registered against Naib Tehsildar Syed Abid Shah, son of Mehraj-u-din, resident of Bhramshah for indulging in corrupt and illegal practices. The official by abusing his position has accumulated huge assets both movable and immovable; his property is much more disproportionate to his known source of income, a VOK spokesperson said in a statement here.
He said a after registering a case against Shah, searches of his residential houses and office premises was conducted, during which evidences/documents with regard to movable and immovable properties were recovered which are under scrutiny.
