DDC Bandipora reviews progress under District CAPEX 2023-24

BANDIPORA: The District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman on Thursday chaired a meeting of officers to review the progress of works under District Capex 2023-24 and to discuss strategy for upcoming Capex 2024-25.

During the meeting, a comprehensive department-wise evaluation was conducted to check the status of all projects under the district Capex budget.

The DDC was informed that under the regular component of District Capex, 16 schemes have been included with the approved allocation of Rs. 6247.28 lacs and under the CSS component 11 schemes have been included with the total approved allocation of Rs. 54248.86 lacs.

It was revealed in the meeting that under District Capex Budget 2023-24, an expenditure of 74.99 percent has been made out of total available funds, and 60.36 percent expenditure has been made against outlay.

The meeting was informed that 88.91 percent of expenditure has been made in minor irrigation works, 80.21 percent in R&B, 80.08 in PHE, 83.07 percent in Aspirational Block Development Scheme and 90.20 percent expenditure has been made in NFB.

The DDC stressed the concerned officers of various departments to monitor all works related to their departments.

He urged officers to provide regular updates and promptly address any issues to prevent delays and directed the concerned to complete all ongoing works within the stipulated time.

Regarding the Capex 2024-25, the DDC stressed the concerned to ensure comprehensive planning by focusing on major works.

He directed the officers to ensure that there is no issue regarding the availability of land, title of land, or any other issue before formulating the DPRs and estimates.

The DDC also emphasized giving due consideration to demands projected by PRIs and the general public besides inputs based on the public Darbar and Viksit Bharat Campaign.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Mohd Ashraf, SE R&B, ACD, CPO, District Officers of Various Departments, BDOs and others concerned.
