Srinagar: Police in Anantnag have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Tuesday.
He said police intercepted a vehicle (JK01X-3736) driven by one Manzoor Ahmad Rah, son of Abdul Rahman Rah of Waghama Bijbehara, at a checkpoint in the area and recovered 18 Kgs of poppy straw and a mixer-grinder from it. Rah has been arrested and the vehicle seized while a case has been registered for investigation, police said.
