Srinagar: Police have booked the “most-wanted and notorious” drug smuggler under PIT NDPS Act in Baramulla, a police spokesperson informed Monday.
He said Irshad Ahmad Ganie, son of Abdul Jabbar Ganie, resident of Solinda Tangmarg, Baramulla, has been booked under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent Authority. The booked drug smuggler has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Bhalwal Jammu.
Police said that many cases are registered against the accused who was involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Solinda, Khaipora, Tangmarg and other areas of the district.
