The deceased has been identified as the wife of Ghulam Nabi Joo, a resident of Mandiyan. She was carrying her granddaughter in her arms at the time of the accident. The unfortunate event took place just a few meters from their home.

Local residents have expressed concerns over the poor condition of the interior roads in the area, saying they have not been maintained and are causing difficulties for them.

Raja Tasleem, a local, said police officials and SHO reached the spot to retrieve the bodies and assist with the last rites. However, no representatives from the civil administration have visited the family so far.
