One killed, three injured in road accident in Ramban

Kishwar: Three persons were killed and twelve others injured in a road accident at Hakoo on the Gulabgarh Machail road in Kishtwar Saturday evening, officials said.

A total of 15 individuals were traveling in the vehicle that met with an accident, resulting in the loss of three lives and injuries to 12 others, they said.

They said four of the injured persons have been shifted to GMC Jammu, while the rest are being treated at District Hospital Kishtwar. The district administration is closely monitoring the situation and providing all necessary support to the affected individuals and their families.

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav expressed sympathies with the bereaved family members of those who lost their lives, and announced immediate ex-gratia relief for the  victims.

Immediate ex-gratia relief of ₹50,000 will be provided to the kin of each deceased, and ₹10,000 for each critically injured individual under the District Red Cross Fund, Kishtwar, officials said.
