Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Thursday.
He said a truck (JK05L-3267) with two persons — Aqib Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Karim, and Tanveer Ahmad Malla, son of Mohammad Ramzan, both residents of Mahrajpora Sopore – onboard, was intercepted at Tapper Bala Kreeri and 432 capsules of SpasmoProxyvon Plus and five bottles of Codeine Phosphate syrup was recovered from their possession. At Laghama Uri, one Manzoor Ahmad Janjua, son of Akbar Din Janjua of Machikrund, was arrested after 36 grams of cannabis-like substance was recovered from his possession.
Cases have been registered in this regard for further investigations, police said.
