Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq on Saturday said that the Government is dressing up its failures in job creation, development and social welfare as success.

This he, according to the NC spokesperson, said while addressing a worker’s meeting of Zadibal constituency here at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.

On the occasion, the party’s local unit functionaries of the Zadibal constituency unanimously endorsed the establishment of a new party block named Dargah, Mir Behri Rainawari. On the occasion, Mohammad Rafiq Khan was elected as the Block President, with Adil Choudhary given the responsibility of the Block Secretary on the occasion. The meeting was presided over by District President Srinagar Peer Afaq Ahmad.

On the occasion, Tanvir Sadiq felicitated the party functionaries on assuming new responsibilities, hoping the party would benefit from their experience in public life and social work.

Listing out the failures by the incumbent bureaucratic government, from a failing economy to the mishandling weather vagaries, paucity of basic civic facilities, inability to create jobs for educated youth and providing comfort to artisans, Tanvir Sadiq said, “The last 10 years accounted for immeasurable pain, insurmountable devastation and unfathomable agony and anguish for our people. Time has come to ask who is responsible for insurmountable devastation, agony and anguish and unfathomable pain that has been inflicted on the people of J&K and that is why it is time for stock-taking.”

Tanvir asked the functionaries to unite their efforts to endure the party’s victory on every front. He said, “We have to unite and give a befitting reply to the lies, deceit and wrongdoings of the incumbent govt on grassroots issues in front of the people. We have to bring issues of social justice, unemployment, development deficit, and paucity of basic civic amenities to the centre of the national discussion. People must identify such political parties, and politicians and reject them for being their worst enemies and responsible for the mistrust and unrest amongst the people.”
