Srinagar: Police arrested two drug peddlers in Kulgam and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesman informed Sunday.
He said at Zadoora Crossing on NHW-44, police intercepted and later arrested two persons — Mudasir Ahmad Ahangar, son of Nazir Ahmad Ahangar of Doru, and Mohammad Iqbal Chopan, son of Lal Mohammad Chopan of Shangas after 4.2 Kgs of poppy straw-like substance concealed in nylon bags was recovered from their possession.
A case has been registered in this regard, police said.
