Srinagar: A Masjid and a residential house were damaged in a fire incident in Frisal area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.
Quoting an official, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, fire broke out in the joint residential house of Jahangir Ahmed Pala and Abdul Majeed Pala, sons of Abdul Aziz Pala of Gundbal which gutted the house completely.
The rooftop of an adjacent two-storey Jama Masjid was also damaged completely before fire was controlled by fire tenders and locals.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
