Srinagar: Police have booked “most wanted and notorious” drug smuggler under PIT NDPS Act in Baramulla, a police spokesman informed Sunday.
He said the drug smuggler Safan Shafi Zargar, son of Mohammad Shafi Zargar of Tawheed Gunj Baramulla, has been booked under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. The booked drug smuggler has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu, police said.
It said many cases are registered against him and he was involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Baramulla town and other areas of the district.
