Agriculture Deptt organises interactive prog with farmers in Bijbehara

SRINAGAR: The Agriculture Department Kashmir today organised an interactive programme at Subhan Pora Bijbehara Anantnag.

The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Syed Fakhrudin Hamid, Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal, Chief Agriculture Officer Anantnag Ajaz Ahmad Dar, Senior district Officers and a long no. of farmers.

Speaking on the occasion D.C Anantnag highlighted the importance of holding such an interactive program with the farmers. He appreciated the role of the Agriculture Sector in the overall development of the district.

While addressing the farmers, Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal underscored the initiatives by the departments of Agriculture for the welfare and well-being of the farming Community of the region.

He said the farmers’ feedback with respect to the on-ground implementation of different programmes and schemes plays an important role in efficiently achieving the set targets under these programmes.

Earlier the farmers brought their views, ideas and feedback to the notice of visiting dignitaries. They also ensured the farmers that their ideas and suggestions would definitely be taken care of.
