Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Anantnag and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesman informed Monday.
He said one Sadeeq Khan, son of Mohammad Hussain Khan of Satri Maidan Gopalpora Mattan, was arrested during a raid on his house during which 11.5Kgs of cannabis powder was recovered. He has been booked under NDPS Act, police said.
During checking at Hassanpora Bijbehara, one Javid Ahmed Dar, son of Ghulam Hassan Dar of Tulkhan Bijbehara was arrested after 10 bottles of Codeine Phosphate syrup were recovered from his possession, police said.
