Srinagar: Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) is set to play the upcoming match against Inter Kashi FC at TRC Ground in Srinagar on November 28 (Tuesday), following a significant victory over NEROCA FC.

Addressing a pre-match press conference Monday, RKFC’s head coach, Ishfaq Ahmad, expressed the team’s strong morale after a 4-0 win against NEROCA FC in the previous game in West Bengal.

“The match against Inter Kashi FC Uttar Pradesh is going to be an interesting contest. They have a good team and recruited a lot of good players. I believe it will be a solid match tomorrow,” Ishfaq said.

He said the players are confident after their big win against NEROCA FC. “Our previous away match win was as much needed as before we had lost two consecutive matches,” he said.

Ishfaq highlighted the local players’ dedication and mentioned RKFC’s commitment to nurturing local talent.

“We have so many local boys this season. They have shown they can compete with the best talent. So far, our local players have really played well. In the previous match, our local player also scored a goal and assisted in another one,” he added.

Inter Kashi head coach Carlos Santamarina said the RKFC played good football and won’t be easy to defeat them on home ground.

“It will be a difficult one but our players are well prepared for this game. The weather may be an advantage for the RKFC but it also depends on how our players will react to it,” he added.

So far, RKFC has played five matches with three wins and two losses. The I League is one of the top football leagues of the country in which international and national players are participating. For the season 2023-2024, at least 13 teams from across the country are participating and will be played for the next five months.
