FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Poonch: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief Vikar Rasool Wani on Thursday expressed grave concern over the militancy revival in J&K especially in border districts Rajouri & Poonch in Jammu Division, terming it an utter failure of the BJP Govt on security front.

Wani, according to the JKPCC spokesperson, was addressing a district-level party workers’ meeting at Poonch. He was accompanied by JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla, Vice President Jehangir Mir, Former Minister and DCC President Rajouri Shabir Ahmad Khan, Gen Secretary Iftikhar Ahmad, Mahila President Shameema Raina and various other party functionaries. The meeting was organized by DCC President Poonch Rajinder Singh Kaka.

Speaking on the occasion JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani said militancy revival in Rajouri, Poonch and other border districts is a matter of grave concern while slamming the BJP Govt at the Centre for failing to address issues concerning people, especially joblessness, lack of development and various other issues.

Wani termed the policies of BJP as divisive, based on hate and division and expressed confidence that the Congress Party shall defeat the designs of BJP RSS which are hell-bent upon to divide people on religious and regional lines. “BJP Govt instead of focusing on the development and protection of people, especially in border areas is out to mislead people on various counts. Our brave soldiers were martyred in the line of duty, but the Centre’s failure on the security front has led to the militancy revival, which is a matter of grave concern and should work as an eye opener for the BJP leaders, who are only making tall claims and praise Modi Govt for nothing.

“Congress Party is duty bound to ensure the protection of people and redressal of the problems,” Wani added and said “the party shall make every possible effort for a dignified life to people. J&K is the worst hit on every count due to the failures, mishandling and mismanagement of things on the part of BJP, besides the undemocratic reorganization of full-fledged people has pushed the people towards darkness, joblessness, economic distress and disconnect in the absence of the elected Govt.”

Speaking on the occasion JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla hit out at the BJP for misleading people by playing religions and other emotional cards for the lust of power, at the same time, Bhalla expressed satisfaction that people not only in J&K but across the country have rejected divisive and religious politics of BJP.
