Jammu: A group of exceptional cadets from the NCC Naval Wing in Jammu have embarked on an exhilarating journey to participate in the highly anticipated All India Nau Sainik Camp 2023.

This remarkable event, scheduled to unfold from October 14 to October 24, will take place at the prestigious INS Shivaji, situated in the scenic Lonavala, Maharashtra.

These dedicated cadets have invested a relentless 60 days of rigorous training under the unwavering guidance of the 1 J&K Naval Unit NCC, a pivotal component of the NCC Group Srinagar. Their preparation has been nothing short of intense and highly focused, honing their skills to face the demanding challenges that lie ahead.

On the 11th of October, the cadets were graced with a visit from Major General RK Sachdeva, the Assistant Director General of the NCC Directorate Jammu & Kashmir. His presence, coupled with his inspiring words, injected a fresh surge of enthusiasm into the cadets as they neared the conclusion of their training phase at the NCC Training Academy in Nagrota. Over a cup of tea, he generously shared invaluable insights and tips to empower the young cadets, preparing them to excel in the imminent competitions.

Major General Sachdeva showered praise on the cadets for their remarkable dedication and relentless hard work. The contingent is all set to engage in a series of challenging competitions during the upcoming All India Nau Sainik Camp, including Drill, boat pulling, ship modelling, service subjects, seamanship, and semaphore. Fueled by their sustained effort and unwavering commitment, the cadets exude confidence in their ability to deliver an outstanding performance.

The journey to INS Shivaji in Lonavala marks a significant milestone in the careers of these young cadets, symbolizing their unwavering determination to shine brightly in the realm of NCC Naval activities. The NCC Naval Wing and the entire NCC community in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh stand united in resolute support of these cadets as they embark on their quest for excellence.
