Srinagar: The CIK wing of police has arrested a social media user for “uploading hateful and abusive content against martyrs of security forces”.
Local news agency KINS, quoted an official statement as saying that one Instagram user was found posting “hateful and abusive posts against martyred DySP Humayun Muzammil”.
“On preliminary analysis of his social media handles it is found that the user is also uploading content glamorizing terrorism, threatening security forces and calling names etc,” the statement reads as per KINS.
The user, a resident of Chotta Bazaar in Srinagar, has been booked and detained under relevant provisions of law (FIR No. 07 /2023 of Police Station CID CIK).
