FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party Vice President Omar Abdullah chaired a meeting of the party’s Media and Communication wing at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha.

Exhorting the party’s social media functionaries to enhance communication with constituents and build awareness around the party’s initiatives, Omar said that social media has risen to play a significant role in the communications strategies of the party’s policies and programmes. “We should also use different social media platforms to keep the general public informed and updated about important issues and engage with them at a deeper level. Additionally, social media is an excellent space for campaign messaging,” he said.

I’m hopeful that the dedicated team of our media functionaries will keep up with their good work.”

The interactive session was convened and moderated by Party’s Chief Spokesperson and Communication incharge Tanvir Sadiq.

The opening statement of the session was delivered by State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar. Party’s Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Political Advisor to VP Mudassar Shahmiri, Provincial Secretary Showkat Mir, Provincial VP Ahsan Pardesi, YNC Provincial President Salman Ali Sagar, Additional Spokesperson Sheikh Ovase also spoke on the occasion.
