Srinagar, Jul 20: Police in Baramulla recovered an abducted girl and arrested two accused persons involved in her abduction.

Acting on a complaint filed by the 19-years-old girl’s family in Pattan on July 01 about her having gone missing, police during investigation came to know about her abduction, a police spokesman said.

He said with the help of technical evidences, police learnt that the accused persons had taken the victim to New Delhi, following which a police team was dispatched there and the abducted girl was recovered and the accused persons arrested.

The accused were identified as Ashiq Ali Mangral, son of Mohammad Akram Mangral of Tuli Reasi, and Deep Kumar, son of Sadha Ram, resident of Chalabeni Kathua, police said.

The girl was handed over to her family after legal formalities, while further investigation of the case is going on, police said.
